Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions are entered into by and between Solo The Training Club Ltd hereinafter: Solo The Training Club and You hereinafter: “the Member”.
SERVICES
The membership entitles the usage of Solo The Training Club Ltd facilities and the equipment and services available therein, as specified upon sign-up.
MEMBERSHIP
The membership is personal, and cannot be shared.
AGE LIMIT
The Member confirms that he/she is 18 years old or older. For persons 16 or 17 years old, exceptions are granted based on a written parental consent. Persons under 16 years of age must be supervised at all times.
HEALTH
The Member confirms that he/she does not suffer from health problems that would hinder exercise or prevent him/her from engaging in exercise, or that would be detrimental or adverse to the Member’s health, safety or physical condition if he/she did exercise. In case of any doubt, the Member shall seek advice by a medical doctor who should confirm the ability to exercise. Solo The Training Club Ltd shall have no obligation to perform a fitness assessment or similar testing to determine the Member’s physical condition. If an assessment is done at Solo The Training Club Ltd, it is for the sole purpose of compiling comparative data in order to track the Member’s progress in a programme and not for diagnostic purposes.
LIABILITY
Each Member of Solo The Training Club Ltd shall be liable for any property damage and/or personal injury caused by the Member on the Solo The Training Club Ltd premises. It shall be the obligation of the Member to pay for any costs involved upon presentation of a statement thereof.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Any and all use of the Solo The Training Club Ltd facilities shall be at the Member’s own risk at all times. The Member shall not utilise any equipment unless he/she has been shown how to use it by a Solo The Training Club team member. Solo The Training Club Ltd shall not be liable for any injuries, physical impact or damages to the Member, or the property of the Member, or be subject to any claim arising out of the use of the premises and/or of the equipment made available to the users.
LOST PROPERTY OR THEFT
Solo The Training Club Ltd does not take responsibility for loss or theft of any personal belongings. Any items left on Solo The Training Club Ltd premises will be kept for up to a month for the Member to collect, after which any uncollected items will be disposed of.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The Member shall respect the behavioural and operating principles of Solo The Training Club Ltd, as laid out in our code of conduct. If the Member behaves in a way that breaches the code of conduct, membership can be suspended or terminated at management’s sole discretion.
ACCESS AND SECURITY
Solo The Training Club Ltd is open Monday to Thursday 7am-12pm and 4pm-8pm, Fridays 7am-12pm and 4pm-6pm, and Saturdays 8am – 12pm, with the exception of bank holidays and exceptional circumstances, when times may vary. Classes are available according to times stated in the Solo The Training Club Ltd app.
SESSIONS AND CLASSES
Sessions and classes can be booked up to 1hr before the start time, except for the first session/class of the day which will need to be booked by 9pm the night before. The Member is permitted to attend a maximum of 1 each of A, B, and C Small Group Personal Training Sessions per week. If the Member attempts to attend more than 1 of each session in any given week, Solo The Training Club will attempt to contact the Member and remove any non-permitted bookings. The Member is not permitted to book multiple sessions or classes of the same type on any given day (i.e. A maximum of 1 small group personal training session per day, 1 fitness class, 1 yoga class etc.). If the Member attempts to book multiple sessions or classes of the same type on any given day, Solo The Training Club will attempt to contact the Member and remove any non-permitted bookings. The Member can cancel bookings up to 1hr before the start time, but will endeavour to give 24hrs notice where possible.
PAYMENT
The Member has given approval for an automatic debit from his/her account or card and is responsible for the payment of the membership. If the payment is late the member will receive a reminder email from Solo The Training Club Ltd and access may be suspended. The membership continues to run even if the access is suspended. If after 30 days the amount is still not paid the Member is in violation of the contract and the total outstanding amount of the contract will be due. Solo The Training Club Ltd may transfer the case to a debt collector, which will add additional fees.
GYM CLOSURES
Solo The Training Club Ltd does not operate on bank holidays. No reimbursement will be given to the Member in the case of planned bank holiday closures. Solo The Training Club Ltd does not operate over the Christmas and New Year period for which all active memberships will be paused and billing dates pushed back accordingly. In exceptional circumstances, the gym may not operate according to the usual timetable in which case 2 weeks notice will be given where practicable.
PAUSING MEMBERSHIP
The Member can pause their membership for planned holidays by contacting gemma@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk. The Member will need to provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice to pause their membership where practicable. Memberships can be paused for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 3 weeks at a time, for a total of up to 4 weeks in any given calendar year, unless agreed otherwise by Solo management. During paused periods, the Member will not have access to Solo The Training Club Ltd facilities and the equipment and services available therein. The Member is not permitted to pause non-recurring memberships.
TERMINATING MEMBERSHIP
The Member can cancel recurring memberships at any time by emailing gemma@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk. A minimum of 1 month’s notice prior to the Member’s next billing date will need to be given, unless approved otherwise by management.
PRICE CHANGES
Any price changes will be communicated at least one month prior to the Member’s next billing date.
